Pros
The salaries are tempting, but only because you end up doing a workload that is actually for 2-3 people. There is no investing in the tools used by the Accounting team, we do a lot of manual tasks (manual imports into Oracle, manual checks etc) which take a lot of time and which could have been avoided if the company would have had another ERP. I should have written pros, but nothing comes to mind sadly. The salary is good and the benefits are ok, there are some benefits that you do not see at other companies (like private pension).
Cons
Apart from what I wrote above, there is no guarantee that after all your hard work you will get some sort of reward at the end of the year, because the bonus is "discretionary" and there is no transparency as to how it is calculated or who gets it. And regarding promotion opportunities, in my department at least, there are none.
