Pros
The colleagues were supportive and collaborative, but they need to realize they are being oppressed.
Cons
Post-Acquisition Restructuring & Blame Game: After the Adstream takeover by Extreme Reach, the Kuala Lumpur office was forced to become a "global office," taking over all markets. To make matters worse, teams from other markets who were retrenched because of this restructuring are leaving angry reviews that unfairly blame the KL office. Unfair Compensation & Mass Exodus: The company's refusal to fairly compensate employees for their expanded workload has resulted in a significant number of resignations. Employees are still paid a local Malaysian salary for a global workload. Incompetent HR Department: The new HR team, brought in after the takeover, is woefully incompetent. They are painfully slow to handle basic administrative tasks but are lightning-fast when it comes to penalizing staff for minor mistakes. Egregious Public Holiday Policies: The company has no respect for Malaysian labor laws. Employees are forced to work on both Malaysian and international public holidays to cover markets after mass retrenchment. Illegal Holiday Pay: The only compensation offered for working on public holidays was time-in-lieu, which was later changed to a pathetic flat rate of RM250. This is a blatant violation of Malaysian labor law, which mandates double the daily salary. Extreme Workload: The decision to dump all the work from other markets onto the KL office has created an unmanageable and unsustainable workload, leading directly to employee burnout and a complete lack of work-life balance.
