Great company, great people - Data Engineer Addgene Employee Review

Addgene is a healthy and collaborative work environment. Employees work hard and solve problems together. Great work/life balance. Flexible scheduling for part timers. Good benefits even for part time employees including twice weekly yoga, lunch during all staff meetings, and an MBTA pass (if you're on ground more than 3 days a week I believe). Plenty of team building activities that you're encouraged but not forced to participate in. Trivia, olympics, cooking competitions, etc. I never had any concerns bringing issues up with my supervisors. I learned a lot and got plenty of hands on experience with basic laboratory skills that you can't get from a college classroom.

I had a great experience and have no serious cons. The work can be repetitive, but it was good practice for me (as a college student) and there were opportunities to learn new skills and techniques under the Lab Technicians.

Limited opportunity as it is a non profit organization
