Pros

Making progress with your kids is one of the most amazing parts of the job. To be honest, it may be the only pro of this job while at this company.

Cons

Beware of the monstrosity that lies beneath the shiny outside of Adapt for Life. For the amount of stress that comes with the job, the pay is not enough. Other companies offer more money, more PTO, and less stress in comparison. Office managers are unable to schedule appropriately. If your client cancels, you get sent home (even if you’ve driven an hour to get there), but may get asked to come back later in the day. Despite being hired as a full-time employee, full-time is not guaranteed. Cleanliness is not a priority and the often rely on the RBT’s to deep clean which wouldn’t be a problem except that only 15 minutes of cleaning is paid. Because of this, the clinic has layers of dust and is often just overall unsanitary leading to high rates of sickness. Things go unfixed at the clinic for weeks (including but not limited to the toilet seats and lights in the bathroom) and oftentimes only get repaired when an RBT steps up to do it despite not being paid. Unfortunately that’s just the start of the problems at Adapt for Life, but I know that there will be repercussion were I to write a negative review with all facts included while still working here as my identity would likely be determined and I would face repercussions. Because of this I will simply reiterate my first statement. Not everything is as it seems at Adapt for Life. Do not waste your time and energy on getting burnt out. Find somewhere else.
