Pros

-Cap-exempt H1B visa sponsorship any time of the year. -Interesting projects (sometimes)

Cons

***************Flipside of pros***************** -Because they provide visa sponsorship, they exploit you: make you slog even on holidays and weekends and pay you very little. (A friend's manager told them that they are filing visas so they should not complain about workload). -Interesting projects but after some time you will be doing the same thing over and over again. It will get boring with no room for growth. They use SAS only which is not widely used in other industries. *********Team*************** Your stay at acumen largely depends on your team. If you have a good manager then it's a very good place to start your career with. But sadly, most of the managers are young people in their mid-20s who have no managerial skills. "Power Corrupts" is the phrase I would like to you here because that is what happens to those young managers. I have seen people in one team slog whereas other people at the same level do not have too much work in other teams. Same company, same people, same work still it can be very disparate and on the top of that, if your manager is bad, you are screwed for life. I have seen people developing imposter syndrome here because your toxic manager will make you believe that you are good for nothing. Acumen has a very isolated environment, where no one talks to anyone. 90% of the staff is Asian, guess due to the visa help they provide, else don't think so any person who doesn't have visa issue would like to work here. But their visa model is quite impressive----attract smart and hardworking talent, provide them visas and get the passport to exploit them. ******************************* ******************************* Just my two cents for the new people : Remember you are your own advocate. When you start a new job, it can be very scary. If you find something wrong, do not believe that things will miraculously fix themselves up. You need to speak up. If you are getting exploited or you think your manager is disrupting your sanity, please inform HR (although not sure if they would be of help as I have observed them sugarcoat but still speak up for your sanity). Staying silent will do no good. If you will not speak for yourself, nobody will. And always believe in your capabilities. Don't just stay here for the sake of visas or living in the US. You can do much better.

Thank you for sharing your point of view. We value the contributions of employees with diverse backgrounds, including foreign nationals, and are pleased to consider sponsorship for non-immigration visas and for permanent residency as appropriate. We are open to all our employees' ideas on ways to improve their work experience. Employees should always feel empowered to seek resolution of any issues by communicating openly and often with their managers. They are also welcome to raise concerns with our HR team, who are always available to assist.

Pros

- The work is intellectually engaging and gave me many chances to grow technically. - I learned a lot from talented coworkers and appreciated being part of projects with real-world relevance. - There was also good exposure to translating technical work into clear, usable takeaways.

Cons

- The work can be intense and detail-heavy, and deadlines can sometimes feel demanding. - Priorities may shift quickly, which can make it hard to plan ahead. - At times, the volume of revisions and fast pace can be stressful.
