Pros

There are no pros worth mentioning.

Cons

There are many reasons to not work here: To start, the opportunity of working here was advertised as full time. After a month of working here I did not have “billable” hours which led to my first couple of checks being significantly less than my agreed salary. Please do not believe the compensation in the job listing. The onboarding is not seamless and is really old fashion. Most companies do onboarding docs via online however, Acumen mails you the onboarding documents. How time is submitted sucks. The contract I worked on while working here ended abruptly and not due to my performance. There’s no severance package involved etc. My experience working here sucked.

Pros

Speak english as a second language? Acumen will make sure you are know it. From correcting your exotic accent and grammar with worse grammar, to making sure your figures of speech go no where from who can't tell a cereal box from an rfp nevermind are in any position to coach you in english all the time. Are you a chinese (anyone of any asian descent) who want t experience old timey racism? well tough luck unless there are openings to do the books. Why else would an asian be kept around? Choo Choo, get back to the accounting cave and hammer out some numbers for us, its long division and long time no see for you. And why hire a janitor when there are women who regardless of rank are perptually secretaries who are always reminded to smile more... Here you can truly down to all the most dated racist and sexist stereotypes.

Cons

Misery loves company I suppose. a dead end job that feels like being sucked into the last season of a reality tv show no one watches anymore. The bridge has been out for so long and the leadership is pitching hail marys like i kid you nought: flying cars. If you're new and are getting the hang of things, prepare to be harassed for it to the point you'll have papers thrown at you for ours based on the new way of formatting dates du jour. Yesterday all the emails were supposed to be mixed cased? It all depends on how many hours your manager wants to throw a literal tamtrum where nothing you can ever do or anyone has ever done is correct and its all your fault for being "getting smart." Its a 1930s style company culture. all women are treated like secretaries. only white and black men can be hired and treated with respect. Everyone else is hired based on steretypes to fulfill stereotypical needs.
