Pros

The best part of working at Active Logic was building relationships with other engineers that sadly were also let go.

Cons

The downside is the leadership. Mostly everything on their website is a lie. They don't have 35+ employees, they don't have 7 locations within the USA, they don't hire 100% US based employees. I was informed when getting hired that it's not uncommon to receive multiple raises throughout the year. I received a lot of praise for how well I was doing so once I hit the one year mark I asked for a raise and was told no, and a couple months later I was laid off along with most of the other engineers.

Pros

- Excellent work-life balance, with trust and autonomy to manage your workload. - Inspiring leadership, especially Rob (the CEO) with 20+ years of experience, and Don (the COO), whose expertise in client relations and deal-making ensures transparency and budget alignment, benefiting both the company’s success and project outcomes. - Collaborative and talented teammates who are always willing to help and share knowledge. - Challenging projects that push you to grow professionally, with trust in employees' abilities. - Open and fair communication; the company listens to employee feedback and makes changes where needed. - Straightforward hiring process led by experienced professionals with good judgment. - Competitive and generous pay with benefits that show the company cares about supporting you both at work and in your personal life.

Cons

- Some projects can be challenging, which may feel overwhelming at times. However, the open communication culture ensures that tasks can be restructured to make them more manageable.
