People problem - Every role has a part to play, but there are some technical folks in Tech Group who are rather bias against non-technical staff leading to toxic culture and unhealthy behaviour. Middle management problem - If you have a big project, you do one thing only and can expect good appraisal with average performance. If you do not have a big project under your name, you will end up with many projects and activities and likely an average appraisal even if you manage to juggle well and exceed expectation.
