• I was actively recruited and fast-tracked for a strategic role, but when I started, there was no structured onboarding, no stakeholder introductions, and no clear responsibilities. • The position had been vacant for a long time, yet no preparation or support was provided to set me up for success. • My manager was absent for most of my probation period, and when I asked for feedback, I was told there wasn’t any concrete input — only a feeling that I wouldn’t be happy in the team. • Eventually, I was told directly that investing the time and effort to onboard me was considered “too much work,” and that they were not willing to put in that effort. • I was never given the opportunity to present my progress or demonstrate my capabilities.
