Pros
you will get to experience how consulting-style chaos works inside a small company that calls itself a product firm. sometimes you learn how not to build software, which in itself is a learning. apart from that, nothing really stands out. there are also three senior software developers in my team, and honestly, all three are the worst i’ve ever worked with. they have zero technical knowledge, no sense of ownership, and constantly try to push their mistakes on others. i complained about their behavior multiple times to the manager, who also happens to manage them directly, but nothing ever happened. i even reached out to hr, hoping they’d take it seriously, but that didn’t go anywhere either. it’s just ignored like everything else here. people often think the goa office would be chill and relaxed, like a nice place to work from, but honestly it’s nothing like that. i’ve seen many people come here thinking life would be easy and balanced, but within weeks they realize it’s full of politics and pressure. i would strongly recommend not to join or work with these four teams based out of goa — acies 360, antares, aces tech works, revolutio, and streamline. these teams are extremely toxic, and the culture inside them is worse than you can imagine. maybe other locations might have slightly different setups, but at the founder level everything is the same, so eventually the culture becomes equally bad everywhere. i was myself transferred between these teams, and the experience just kept getting worse every time.
Cons
as a female employee, i faced multiple issues here. there is absolutely no representation of women in leadership or founding positions. all founders are male, all friends, and all come from consulting backgrounds, so they treat everything like a client project rather than an actual product. sometimes even basic respect is missing — a few times i felt uncomfortable and even imitated by my manager and their senior manager in team calls, and there was no one to escalate it to. hr just listens politely and moves on. the work culture is extremely poor and unhealthy. there is no work-life balance at all, and the environment is full of favoritism. the tech team is not capable, most of the time requirements are unclear, and reviews are done in such a rushed and careless way that you barely understand what the final goal is. it’s very common to spend weeks or months building a feature that gets scrapped even before it reaches users. at least 90% of the work we did never survived beyond a month or two because the founders suddenly changed direction. everything depends on what the founders personally think might work, and then after wasting everyone’s time, they realize it’s useless. it’s mentally exhausting for engineers, especially when you’re told to work 12–15 hours a day for something that will be thrown away next week. they keep calling themselves a “product-based software company,” but in reality, this is a pure service consulting setup. they’re just forcing that “product company” image to look cool and attract candidates. the tech side is cheap, the tools are outdated, and there’s no proper process for development, testing, or deployment. when it comes to management, everything is family and friends. most of the managers have relatives or known people inside the company, and they all cover up for each other. external employees are always the ones who get blamed or pushed out when something fails. the favoritism here kills any motivation to do good work. and when you resign, the real nightmare starts. it can take up to 7–8 months to get your full and final payment, after continuous follow-ups and begging with hr and founders. there are even cases where people gave up completely. if you abscond, at least you save your time and peace of mind. they also flood glassdoor with fake 5-star reviews. employees are literally given 500 rupees amazon vouchers for writing positive reviews. that’s why you’ll see glowing feedback online that doesn’t match reality. the company has been running for 8 years, and there’s still no real product to show. it’s all consulting, patchwork, and chaos.
