There’s been a recognition that training for new teachers has been too technical and too focus on classroom taxonomies, and now training involves greater content understanding and mindset work.

-Limited work life balance. Every year when we take the survey on whether we see ourselves +5 years at AF, majority of staff says no. Yet the work that we are asked to do does not change. -Limited definition of success: Success has been defined by test scores, so teachers and school leaders have committed harm against kids in order to bring up up test scores.
