Sudden, vague termination: I was let go abruptly with no warning or opportunity to address concerns, just a vague statement that I “wasn’t delivering what was expected.
No career growth or performance management: Despite being in a bridge/supervisory role, I received no raises, no performance reviews, and no additional benefits.
Underpaid compared to new hires: My hourly rate was 50% lower than what they were willing to pay a new candidate for the same role.
Overwhelmed with responsibilities and no support: New tasks were added continuously, and when I communicated being overwhelmed, and difficulties with how information is shared/received that affected efficiency, absolutely nothing was done to help.
Poor Communication Culture: Managers operate like freelance leaders, with no clear pathways, training, or support plans for staff. Feedback, performance reviews, and strategic guidance are often ignored or managers go completely silent. The result? Employees are replaced or sidelined instead of being supported. This isn’t just a vague observation, it’s something I personally experienced twice.
