Pros
I started as an intern and was given lots of opportunity to advance and improve my skillset.
Pros:
- Interesting work - Projects I worked on consistently required learning new and valuable services, products, and technologies.
- Encouraged to learn new skillsets - While here I was given the opportunity to improve my skillset and grab a number of certifications in the Cloud space and API management space.
- Exposure to multiple areas of the business - As part of a small company I got the chance to work closely with multiple areas of the business.
- Strong dev team - The dev team I worked with was always supportive and knowledgeable. I owe my progress as a developer to the mentorship and guidance I received at this company.
- Good work life balance - Never had a problem requesting PTO. Hours were reasonable. I was able to maintain a consistent work schedule without having to worry about pressure to put in extra hours.
Cons
- The amount of work coming in to the company was not always consistent.
