Rewarding but not consistent - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Achievable Behavior Strategies Employee Review

Pros

- Consistent clients - Working with kids - All electronic data recording - LOTS of hours

Cons

You can say you are available one day to sub, and the employers assume you are able to continue working that day moving forward. Employment process was fast, BUT you get thrown into working right away without training. It is hard to use the restroom unless someone is available to watch your kid/client. No lunch breaks, No overtime, No Holiday pay. You can work 9 hour days with no break whatsoever.

Pros

If you need lots of hours this is a good place to be. It's mostly in clinic so you only have to be in one place . You can work full time if you want to. If you want to become a BCBA they give you supervision hours .

Cons

Depending on how long your session is with client you could have no brings the entire time you're working. I find this difficult because I drink a lot of water and so I am constantly having to hold it in because I have long sessions with clients and you cannot leave them alone. The job can get really overwhelming and could be taxing to your mental health without the right support system around you. The management staff niceness seems a bit forced.
