Pros

Strong hands-on experience in ABA and direct client care • Opportunities to build skills in behavior intervention, data collection, and session management • Exposure to a variety of client behaviors and learning needs, which supports professional growth • Can be rewarding when seeing client progress and skill acquisition over time

Cons

Bonus structure lacks transparency and can be confusing when trying to track eligible hours • Compensation does not always reflect workload, especially considering the level of responsibility and documentation required • Limited communication or clarity from management regarding payroll/bonus discrepancies • High expectations for performance without equivalent support or feedback at times • Emotionally demanding work, especially when managing challenging behaviors without sufficient support • Work-life balance can be difficult depending on scheduling and session demands

Pros

Consistent hours and compensation. I did leave briefly for a private equity company who promised siginificantly more pay. Did get more pay per hour but very inconsistent and would go weeks without pay when kid called out which is why I went back to Aces for Autism. They gave me consistent hours even when my client called out.

Cons

There were some negative BCBAs who made alot of money but all they did was complain. Leadership held on to them for too long but environment got better once they were terminated.

Pros

The clients, the kids, and their families! They are all the most beautiful and magical things rolled up into one. It's truly a fulfilling experience to witness their goals being reached and interact with them on a daily basis. The job serves a very meaningful purpose. The facility offers a very needed service to our community. The BTs/RBTs and BCBA's are diamonds in the ruff - they are the true heroes.

Cons

Many issues lie beneath the surface and behind those walls; unfortunately, these stem from the top. Under their mask, they hide very questionable ethics and baby business owner skills. They put operation managers and clinical directors in place who are beyond qualified yet belittle their qualifications and do not allow them to lead. A positive toxicity culture. Quick judgments are passed without a fair trial. Employees are slandered behind closed doors on a consistent basis, and redemption is not an option they provide.
