Interesting and challenging technical work. The majority of people are highly-competent and very pleasant to work with. Another major advantage is that Greggs is just across the road from the Astra House site and offers delicious sausage rolls!

The biggest con is the senior management. Everything was rushed. Projects were poorly-planned and poorly-resourced. The senior management could not be trusted to follow through with what they said they would do. There was little or no budget for training or any other kind of career development. For at least two years running, the date for salary reviews came and went without any communication whatsoever (and no pay reviews).. Despite being a small company, communication between senior management and employees was very poor. Employees were rarely informed of what was happening within the company. During the time I worked for Ace Axis, there was little or no recognition by senior management of the hard work and long hours many employees put in to help the company. Efforts employees made beyond what might reasonably be expected were taken for granted.
