Pros
- Majority of people are truely nice, very talented and open to learning - Fantastic access to users, and encourraged to engage with them - Mission and problem space is very interesting and motivating - Huge potential if they can sort themselves out
Cons
- Strategy at Accurx is an overcomplicated mess that is difficult to communicate, lacks execution focus, is detached from user problems, and tied up in endless metrics that very few understand. - There is a lack of product vision, and any ability to see beyond the next 3 months. Weirdly the company seems alergic to identifying where they want the product to be in the future and what actual problems they need to solve to get there. - C-level are very inexperienced, as are most of the senior leaders who are often only in the position through tenure. Inexperienced with leadership, and also general holistic work experience. Leadership team is either completely absent or furiously in the weeds micromanging their pet ideas. - As mentioned in other reviews, the open 'feedback' culture is toxic. An admirable value, however is most often used to communicate displeasure towards other employees and is very rarely actual structured feedback. There is a real lack of psychological safety, and it's difficult to know what you can express and to whom. - Very experienced hires seem to come and go, often disappearing overnight with little or no comms. If they survive, many seem to just become yes people. Challenging the status quo is a risk here and you'll be actively warned against it by others. - Not transparent at all about business performance or future. First place I've worked where this isn't shared or talked about. Just odd.
