Pros
Small company which allowed for a broad spectrum of responsibilities and opportunities. Allowed creative freedom of design and testing for new products. Intimate interaction with products including coordination with sales, customers, manufacturing, and logistics.
Cons
Resistance to change regarding advancement of legacy production methods, marketing strategy, and expansion of product lines. Many new managers did not take the time to understand the most important product lines or the means and methods of glass melting technology which created a vast distance between the designers and the approval process. Capital expenditure was very restricted due to improper actions of former employees - this caused excessive delays and missed opportunities regarding projects and facilities upgrades.
