Pros
Good management structures and staff teams that care. The different services are as unique as the guys that use them- they have to be. This means that different areas have different strengths AND weaknesses
Cons
Because it is care and the support workers get ill but Service users do not have the ability to turn off their needs then you do sometimes get calls checking if you maybe available. If your answer is no then you do not get pestered as some reviews would intimate. If my family member received support I would expect management and staff to try to cover shifts that staff are ill for- what kind of people wouldn't. Some services could use some investment but overall even these are satisfactory-ish
The care level for clients is very high.
When serious concerns or issues are raised by staff, managers generally listen and respond appropriately
Generally a positive staff team
Cons
Staff feel underappreciated, especially those who go above and beyond and do not get thanked, just expected to do it again in the future
Smaller issues are not always listened to and addressed
