Pros

Largest interpretation services agency in central Ohio so they have the most large contacts with area hospitals, etc. Steady work. Since you are an independent contractor, it's very flexible; work, when you want, as little or as often as you want. Though the less you work, the less you earn obviously.

Cons

In order to get all the contracts, they had to outbid the other agencies and drove down the compensation for interpreter services. The work is steady but not always consistent; there are "good weeks" & "bad weeks". No reimburse for mileage unless you leave the county. A lot of "down time" you aren't getting paid for.

Pros

I got a few weeks of medial trading by a former doctor and interpreter. I appreciated their professionalism and learned a lot about the medical field and healthcare environments.

Cons

I needed to drive to hospitals. We can claim as an expense for being 1099 employees but still not enough. I needed to drive 30 min one way to get to the hospital and spend only an hour and come back. Didn’t make sense financially.

Pros

There is nothing good about this company

Cons

Everything is bad about this company, when you start taking the course at the location for the terminology and protocol, you have to pay $500 for that and if not, they will deduct that from your salary so after you start working, they’re gonna give you a lot of assignments so you can pay them the $500 after they finish that there’s not that much of assignment you will get and they pay $25 an hour all other companies they will start with you from $35 to 45 or $50 an hour the management sucks the payroll sucks the only good thing the people who work at the dispatch, and there is no future and in the end of each year, they will call you to go to their office so they will give you a gift card for $25 from target that’s crazy so my advice don’t work there even don’t try to apply there
