Pros

On paper Accelerite seems ideal with their startup environment, young leadership team and financial backing from a global company. I enjoyed my coworkers and the benefits were good.

Cons

Accelerite's technology portfolio is crap because the products are dinosaurs. They are unable to deliver on promises made to customers and partners. Not to mention that it is hard to sell when the sales leaders didn't properly train us on the technology we are selling. Do not believe anything management tells you about career growth and opportunities available to you within the company because it won't happen. I'd be surprised if Accelerite lasted more than 3 or 4 years.

Pros

Accelerite is tackling exciting challenges in some of the hottest areas across the IT spectrum, from endpoint management, to cloud and hybrid disaster recovery solutions, and more. It’s got a definite startup feel to it, yet it’s backed by a deep-pocketed technology leader, who is dedicated to making a significant splash in the SMAC (social, mobile, analytics, cloud) technology spaces. So, what’s the work environment like? It’s entrepreneurial. It’s very team-oriented. Each day brings new challenges. The company is definitely growing in every measure---customers, revenues, new products, headcount (if not exponentially, at least by multiples), etc. But, it’s still a place where a great idea can spring-up from anywhere, and teams work together vigorously to put it into action—and without all the bureaucracy of a much larger company. There is excitement across the board about the growth trajectory, and the cutting-edge technology we are bringing to market to augment our existing product lines.

Cons

Most of the cons can be pros, depending on how your glass is filled. The company, composed of separate business acquisitions by the parent company over the years, was just born back in March. Building a cohesive brand from the ground-up is a challenge and an opportunity. The company is growing at torrid pace, and ramping-up takes time. Processes are still being defined, but we are getting there. The flipside of being so nimble can be that priorities shift more frequently than at more established companies. However, the company is finding its footing— plans are firming up, and we have a great (albeit ambitious) roadmap ahead of us for which there is palpable excitement. And the technology and people are awesome.
