Pros

- Supportive (ex)colleagues who readily share knowledge and celebrate your ups like its one of their own. - Accessible by public transport - School timing allows you to escape peak traffic hours - Real world debate experience

Cons

- Boomer boss who has no concept of how the real world works for the working class - Claims to be fairly run despite being a family business and it is a LIE. Do not expect a fair trial when your judgement has already been passed behind their closed doors. - Extremely poor onboarding. You will make mistakes continuously and it will be held against you with no grace. - Poorly structured curriculum with little to no prep given for hybrid learning. There is no such thing as training. Only instructions. - Blatantly lying about employee benefits and claims. No medical claim has been approved circa 2020. - Flagrant disregard for employee rights. Keep an eye on your EPF and SOCSO contributions and make sure you have a lawyer at the ready to chase them for YOUR MONEY. - Poorest communication skills I've ever come across. How are you the principal and not even aware of basic happenings in the office/ employee disputes? -Quickest turncoats. Not even sleeping with the devil (management) is going to save you from this one. - Will actively, I mean actively encourage you to tell on your colleagues and use frankly unethical tactics (questionnaires, really?) to stir tension among coworkers. Not political, my foot. - Never ever expect any events to be well planned or adequately prepared for. Everything is last minute. No one enjoys these. Stop trying to pretend they were good. - Will not defend you or stand up for you against (unreasonable) parents. - Does not follow proper Cambridge endorsed syllabi. They probably don't even know what it is. - Don't expect any due process to be done/completed. Pay -slips? Dream on. SOCSO registration? NOPE. Income Tax? Lol.

Pros

Small team, small scale. Some teachers are nice and some students are good. That's about it

Cons

The people who runs this so called "school" are master manipulators. They may seem nice on the outside, but really , they're not. They will go all out to butter you up, make you feel like you're an added value to their team, give you what you want at first, but then, it all becomes clear as to what they're doing behind closed doors. You see, it's a family business, which is fine, many businesses are also like that, but this particular family just loves to save their image and their name and the rest of us are just collaterals. Yes, they pay well I guess, they would even offer you a salary that is way above your own asking salary. But please, that is just to lure you in. Fairness? Honesty? Respect? Doesn't exist. It's all a bed of roses when you start until the thorns come out. All the bad Google Reviews, I can tell you, they are all true. Not one of them are even lying. If they can get their own management and students to fake good reviews, you already know the lengths that they will go to just to save their "school". They are not properly licensed, so, that itself is already dangerous. EPF, SOCSO and benefits? Those are things that are unknown to them because we worked hard, but our rights, stolen! Please, don't even consider this place no matter what. Nice pay, nice people, nice place? Just don't. You will definitely regret later on. To the ones who stayed, my only question to you is, is it all really worth it? How long do you think you'll "get your way"? It'll all come crushing down soon, just wait and see.

Pros

Amazing colleagues. They treat you like a family (some), the food slaps AND PERIODT.

Cons

Filled with boomers. Ngl, you'll come out battered like a soldier returning from the battlefield because every day is like a war—but psychologically. Nahh they ain't gonna slap you physically but, they'll stab you with their relentless acts of nonsense blabs, dubious self-conducted training, andddd did I mention threats on your paychecks? Oh boy, so many things to be said. Anywayy since this is a family-run business, the principal is a lady who thinks, talks and acts like a boomer. And the people in the top management are of course, just her family—all cut from the same outdated cloth. Great. In addition to that, you're expected to do all kind of tasks with such a low pay, no bonus (even for the senior staff) and somehow for some mysterious reason, the episodes of missing EPF and SOCSO exist? Wild. Which is weird because those two are mandatory according to the labor law anddd they already deducted it from your pay. But it's not there...in the account. It’s also super difficult to show proof of this mess thanks to the company’s 'no payslip' culture. Furthermore, the aforementioned threats are directly linked to this, I quote, "if you have so many sick days and it's found to be not from the right source, am I wrong to withhold your EPF?" which is insane because the standard procedures is to be given a warning or show cause letter. Plus the parents are demanding and some are even delusional😌🙏 but shout out to supportive parents tho.
