Aardman Animations Response
3yWe were really sorry to hear your feedback about your experience at Aardman and I would like to offer you the opportunity to speak to me or our MD, Sean Clarke, in confidence. We are always keen to listen and learn, but can only tackle issues effectively if we know about them.
We have invested a lot of time and energy over recent years into opening up the conversations around mental health and providing support to those needing help. We run regular Mental Health awareness training for managers and employees and have a number of trained Mental Health First Aiders throughout the studio.
We have also been very open around the fact that we will not tolerate any form of bullying at Aardman , being clear about the standards we expect from everyone who works with us. We launched a Dignity at Work Charter a few years ago and run compulsory training for managers and employees.
Being Employee Owned is something we are immensely proud of and our Employee Rep Group work closely with the MD and leadership team to ensure employee voice is central to the decisions we make. We communicate openly with employees about our business performance, through regular all studio Townhalls and Finance Updates. Any employee can raise questions or issues of concern through their rep, in complete confidence and our annual, anonymous engagement survey provides employees with the opportunity to feed back to our leadership team around our business, communication, management and overall employee experience. We publish these results to employees and measure how we are doing year on year.
Again, we are sorry that your experience at Aardman fell short of what we would expect. I really hope you'll get in touch. Contact me at paula.newport@aardman.com for a chat.
