Pros
You get to work with a bunch of different technologies. Anything from web development to working on software used by handheld devices or ticket printers.
Cons
The monolithic codebase meant deployments were big and complicated. Deployment night would happen in the middle of the night and last for hours. Management expectations were unreasonable and unrealistic which ultimately resulted in a sloppy codebase that exacerbated many problems. Morale of the dev team was poor.
