Pros

Free lunch and paid medical.

Cons

A lot of the 4 and 5-star reviews on here are from current employees. Why? Because HR pushes it down your throat to come on here and write a positive review to help attract people to the company. One of the recruiters even asked me if I wrote a review and tried to "guess" which one was mine. Needless to say I'm only writing now that I've left the company. Management here is terrible. The CEO who founded the company needs to take a step back and let people do their jobs. A lot of people are extremely talented and the company had potential, but he and the other leadership team present ideas that are very dated and borderline spammy. It's easy to see why there's a lot of turnover with recent employees. If you take a job here, be prepared to talk a lot about your feelings. There are several monthly meetings with your team where you are forced to "open up", only for this to be used against you by your manager and the leadership team. It is a very weird, Silicon Valley type of thinking that is what's keeping AWeber behind. Biggest waste of time. There's also a lot that goes on behind the scenes that HR and the "Chief People Officer" turn a blind eye to. It really is a game here, sadly, and people that drink the Kool Aid can get away with a lot of sexist comments and harassment. There is also no opportunity for advancement or growth here, so you need to be ok with your career being flatlined. Promotions are mostly title, not compensation.

Pros

AWeber is a great company to work for, and consistently has been for many years. While being at AWeber, you get to work with awesome technologies and serve really cool customers. The team dynamic at AWeber is top tier, and communication between team members is ever present. There is always information sharing, internal documentation to reference, and avenues to learn/stay in the know. This commitment to public facing communication allows team members to know what's upcoming, know what's expected of them, ask questions, posit suggestions/ideas, and appropriately prepare and plan. At AWeber, everyone has a voice, and their voice matters. Being at the company each day feels less like a job and more of an opportunity to accomplish something great.

Cons

At the company, we all actively work to make AWeber better for today, tomorrow, and the future. If you are someone who prefers to silo information and hide from your team, working at AWeber would likely not be a good fit for you.
