The New CEO, Frank Ko, is a great man, he tries to bring alot of new things into AUO, and also trying to make sort them into realizable directions or business unit: Automotive, TFT-LCD & Micro LED, Intergratged "Display" Solutions. And this really make employees with promising future.
Cons
1. Pay in AUO's Taichung site is quite low...14 months salary for 1 year..done 2.Most executives are lazy, so as an engineer you need to pay 80% of time writing ppt allowing those excutives to understand, mostly you even don't understand why they want you to write like that, which is really annoying. 3. You must choose the right business unit when you apply the job, its hard to transfer to other business unit especially if you choose TFT-LCD 4. In manufacturing sector of TFT-LCD, your speciality are only reference, those executives don't care, so you responsible can be changed frequencly, for example I am an product industrial designer, but there is only a little proportion of my career time responsible for industrial design like 3 months in my 3 career years, I had responsible for mechenical design, programming, user experience, project managment, pcb design, product machine operation...just not that stable, sometimes you even do not know what you are responsible for, 5. If you are more research oriented engineer, I mean likely to deeply study some specific technology in order to make whatever project smooth, DO NOT GO TO ANY SECTOR RELEATED WITH TFT-LCD MANUFACTURING or TFT-LCD SMART-MANUFACURING, it will be really torturing.
