Pros
There is plenty of opportunity for a motivated engineer to learn a lot about the industry, particularly metallurgy (given the nature of the work). And if you are patient you can progress your career (or pivot in a direction you are interested in) within reason. The people are very nice. There are a lot of very experienced older engineers that can be good career mentors for younger engineers. And the location in Irvine is great.
Cons
After the aerospace slowdown in 2020, a lot of buisiness went away and many benefits with it. That wasn't necessarily the company's fault, but that didn't make it less painful. As of late 2021, things are recovering, but slowly. Like most other companies there is also occasional annoying office politics. My advice would be to keep your head down and avoid getting involved as much as possible. There is plenty to learn from everyone.
