Pros
When the company is doing great, there is very little reasons for you to loose your place. Equipment used in the warehouse (scales, forklifts, etc.) when broke, is usually being fixed on regular basis. The company also inherited and relies on 5-S program. Also, there is company's profit sharing... although at present, unless you have comfy office position, you won't get much.
Cons
No paid sick days - at all. When you're there, you get paid. The 5-S program, although encourages employees with positive trades to adhere to, cannot be fully implemented, because of daily work schedule. Even with over-time, you are expected to work until time agreed, and so you are left with 0 time to do 5-S... unless you want to stick around afterwards, and do it on YOUR OWN time.
As a person, you either fit in, or you don't. Very hard to move up, once you start working in the warehouse, the back of business. Most employees are ok for striking conversations, but you can't really be talking about anything actually useful, or new... if you are an average joe, you will fit in.
