      Great community and job culture. Loved working with fellow guards. Lots of down time.

      8 hours of more of just staring at water. Unpaid on-call time.

      Pros

      It kept me out of trouble, taught me some basic safety skills that I could use for the rest of my life, I also had a killer tan

      Cons

      The pay was not amazing, and your experience may vary a lot depending on what pool you are assigned to, who your manager is. I tried to do it with friends but we got split up to different pools
