Pros
I worked at AMS for going on 3 years, I joined them during the pandemic and worked remotely and believed this was a place I could really grow my career. I had a great team, great boss and often travelled to London for face to face engagement. The salary was good also.
Cons
I was made redundant from AMS after having to put my team through around 3 waves of redundancies throughout an horrific 2023. It finally caught me early 2024. I found the biggest challenge was being re-homed internally. When I joined the company it was completely remote and when it came to redundancies if I wasn’t based in London or Belfast then I wasn’t being given the time of day for the role despite the fact i would have been more than qualified to do which was a shame as most other companies would do what they can to keep their staff, by this point though the TA team were no doubt numb due to how many redundancies were processed. There is actually a permanent team of people within TA whose sole role is to assist those out at risk of redundancy which is a major red flag.
