Pros

I have been working with AMS for a total of 11 years, and I can honestly say, I love working for AMS. AMS really promotes internal promotion and is passionate about promoting staff through the ranks. I first joined the company as an Administrator, and am now managing a large team in the Bracknell office so am proof that what you put into your career, you really do get out. There are many opportunities to progress. One of the things, that I like the most about AMS, is the fact we run an apprenticeship program each year, here we give not only something back to the local community, but we also give people an opportunity to work for a great company, and train the individuals up in many different area's providing them with key skills and an NVQ at the end of the academy. Once these people have achieved the NVQ, we retain this talent, and these individuals, go onto be very successful Sourcers / Recruiters. AMS has an excellent training facility and is very passionate that all staff take advantage of the courses, that are on offer to enhance personal development as well as on the job training. AMS also has a large number of clients, I personally feel passionately about each of our clients and I like the opportunity I get to work with these clients on daily basis. The satisfaction you get upon placing a candidate within a well-known brand / company is also a great feeling, as on a daily basis we are helping people. The office offers a great work life balance, offers great holiday allowance, and good benefits as well. I have recommended a number of people to AMS, majority of which have been successful. Whilst selling them the role initially, I am sure they had some doubts, that AMS couldn’t be as good as I described it, however I regularly get told by them now, that I was right and they too made the right career move by joining AMS.

Cons

I am trying to think of a con, here but struggling so on that basis, if I have to think to hard, there really cant be anything, or this would come as easily as the pros.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s great to hear our culture and the care we show for our people have made a positive impact. That sense of support and connection across teams is something we work hard to nurture every day. We also recognize that client relationships can be complex at times. Supporting our teams to navigate those environments with confidence and collaboration remains an important focus for us. We appreciate your feedback and your contribution to AMS.

Pros

Flexible and remote working Great company but with the right leadership

Cons

Since the leadership change last year, the culture within AMS has deteriorated significantly. The new CDTO’s approach has created an environment that feels increasingly toxic and unsustainable for many employees. There is a strong sense that every problem is expected to be solved—or sidelined—by AI, often without realistic planning, sufficient resources, or input from the teams actually responsible for execution. This has led to confusion, constant shifting priorities, and a lack of meaningful support for getting work done effectively. At the same time, workloads have increased to an unsustainable level. Expectations continue to rise, but without additional resources or clear prioritization. Many teams are stretched thin, juggling multiple high-pressure initiatives with tight deadlines, which only adds to the stress and makes it difficult to maintain quality or balance. More concerning is the leadership style. Communication often feels driven by pressure and fear rather than clarity or collaboration. Many employees feel they are operating under constant scrutiny, which has contributed to widespread stress, anxiety, and low morale across the department. It’s becoming common to hear colleagues express reluctance to come into work, not because of the workload itself, but because of the atmosphere.
