Micromanagement, total reliance on metrics, they only hire yes men for management roles, managers are highly inexperienced. They typically hire managers out of the ranks of high performing recruiters, which means that they may have little to no actual management experience. This is a highly political environment, and unless you play the game well you will not thrive. Favoritism is rampant, and in some cases it is so obvious it creates a hostile work environment for those who know they are not liked.
On a totally unrelated note, the cafeteria used to be as nice as an expensive restaurant, but then they remodeled and brought in cheap labor, and now it's basically the worst food you can hope to eat anywhere.
