Pros
As an intern they allow you to do real, meaningful work. In my case, in a matter of 4 months I had developed my own board (with help of course) and gained a ton of experience working with lab equipment and interfacing with other engineers. This is the ideal environment to sharpen your theory.
There is never a dull day in the office, as you are always doing and learning something new. The engineering team is small and there is a lot of work to be done, so there are many opportunities to help and to learn.
Management is patient, thoughtful, passionate, and has a true gift for teaching. The engineers are bonafide nerds (in the best way) and love what they do. Everyone else that works there is also super sweet. AML is like one big happy family.
Anyone looking to work in the engineering department is going to have a great time.
Cons
If you live far away, the drive every morning can be a lot since they are based in Euless. They don't allow working from home.
