Pros
AMC is a great first job. The employees get a thorough group training that forms bonds between coworkers. On breaks drinks and popcorn are free. The job itself allows the employee to develop skills working with and assisting people in order to help them acheive what they want
Cons
A problem that has shown itself in multiple AMC theatres is the lack of staffing. The lower level employees for the most part seem to feel both overworked and underpaid. In addition, there is very little room for growth oppurtunity in most AMC theatre companies. Even the best employees who would seem to be obvious choices for upward movement are at the mercyof their managers, many of whom are pressured by corporate not to give promotions unless absolutely necessary.
