Pros
- The business manager role is essentially a director position. You are the CEO of your accounts. You have extremely high levels of responsibility right from the start. - You will gain 5 years experience for every 2 years you are here. - Very good work environment. The directors and other BMs are really nice to work with. - Work events and drinks happen throughout the month. - Bonuses are really good if you manage to hit your targets (£36,000+).
Cons
- You will have 4 jobs. All those jobs require a 9-5 to do successfully. You need to have the time management skills Mastery in order to survive. I am not joking, you literally have 4 jobs. Each one of your roles can be broken into a 9-5 job. You should essentially be on 4 salaries. - Hours are long usually 8 to 630. Even then its still not enough to carry out all your work. - Little to no training provided. Expected to hit the ground running and learn on the job. - Only way to grow and increase pay is by hitting your bonuses. If you do not hit your bonuses you will not survive on the base salary. - Located in London. Everything is extremely pricy. - Have to come to the office 5 days a week. - Internal business (HR, Payroll, IT etc) are 1/10 stars. Every little issue takes 6 weeks to resolve. - Extremely high expectations for the Business Managers. You are worked to the bone.
