Pros

- Young, vibrant, passionate culture - Start-up vibe but 50 years of stable profitability - If you love cars, you'd probably love ALG - If you're an executive, popular among the execs, or you actually set residual values, access to fantastic fleet of evaluation vehicles - Benchmark of its niche - Unrivalled exposure to almost every OEM's executives, product porfolio, and future strategy - Some enjoyable travel opportunities - Santa Barbara is a slice of heaven - Casual dress code - Good benefits - Decent opportunity for career growth

Cons

- Barely liveable compensation - Santa Barbara cost of living - Last-minute changes handed down at the drop of a hat, lacking proper vetting/testing/consideration of all probable consequences - Inefficient, ancient processes--smarter clients are losing confidence - Learning curve is steep due to hoardes of tribal knowledge - New parent company TrueCar is a rollercoaster ride - Editorial and Technology groups have work/life balances which favor the former, whereas most other groups favor the latter. Compensation, though, doesn't reflect that fact - Performance review process is a popularity contest judged by those more senior than you
