Pros

None that I could think of

Cons

Unclear direction, close to zero guidance/training, and negative work environment where I felt like superiors were passive aggressive and not pleasant to be around. I felt pressured to work extra hours with no extra compensation. Also no employee handbook so there’s no formal processes for reviews or ANYTHING like a company should have. I was really disappointed with my experience here. My experience was not at all like the experiences described in the other reviews, which is…odd to say the least. The company also didn’t respond to covid properly in my opinion.

Pros

This company was a great experience for me. I received consistent help and kindness from other employees at the company which really helped me along professionally, and in particular had a mentor who was massively beneficial to my development. Despite being hired shortly before COVID, I was kept on as an employee, which was huge to me. The company was also very responsive to the pandemic on a general level, quickly going remote and making accommodations to make remote work a smooth experience. Working on almost all projects was a generally positive experience, whether that meant working on pieces on isolation, testing things out for future projects, or communicating with the rest of the team to bring a design to life.

Cons

The only real con I can think of is that some projects were more stressful than others, be it due to client demands or logistically difficult problems. This isn't really specific to this company though; I can't really picture an organization where there isn't the occasional strenuous project. I largely didn't experience the issues which the negative reviews have mentioned. The CEO consistently treated me with kindness and respect, whether I was being hired, working on my day to day duties, or even when I put in my two weeks notice. And while I did very occasionally have to work late or on weekends, it wasn't a regular thing at all.

Pros

I had the opportunity to work WITH AIMG for many years before having the opportunity to work FOR AIMG. Obviously if I had not been happy with the former I would not have embarked on the latter. While I brought a wealth of knowledge from my prior years of professional experience I was afforded the opportunity, and patience, to learn a whole set of new skills. My current position now requires me to wear many hats, each of which comes with its own challenges, and creative opportunities. Learning is always encouraged. Success is rewarded and 'missteps' are treated as learning experiences. I can say with certainty that every employee is giving their best effort in whatever role(s) they are serving. Nobody, from the top down, is above doing any work that will serve to meet the end goal. This does not go unrecognized by our clients which, I believe, is a core reason they appreciate and respect AIMG. AIMG becomes a part of their team, more like another employee, than a vendor. Anybody who comes on board needs to have and hold these traits themselves to remain part of the team. If they do, it is a great team to be on. I look forward to being part of what promises to be an exciting period of growth for AIMG in the coming years.

Cons

None to speak of at the moment.
