Pros

There are plenty of investment options to choose from. You can utilize standard 401k, ROTH 401k, post tax contributions, and an HSA. Dental and Insurance Costs are attractive compared to other employers.

Cons

The majority of an application engineer's job responsibility within aerial cable systems is performing the job of a customer service representative. This involves providing quotes on cables, accessories, and shipping costs. No other department's AEs do quotes because an engineer should be performing actual engineering jobs. While technical analysis, design, and support will happen occasionally, 75% or more of an AE's time will be spent giving quotes and performing other job duties not fit for an engineer. During the bidding process, the engineer is responsible for reviewing contract terms, conditions, and other legal documents instead of the available legal team. The engineer is responsible for product pricing analysis and shipping estimates instead of the available logistics team. Very little engineering work. Severe waste of employee's technical interest and potential. Culture from most managers is overly negative unless everything is 100% to their standards instead of actual human resource policies. This includes workplace discussion, presentations, meeting posture, and email conversations. Criticism is overly critical on technical details that were not made clear to the team and the use of contractions in emails will be reprimanded from management.
