While I was already at the final stage of another big company in Belgium, this company offered counter proposal including my move from Turkey to Italy as this was my condition. I was hired remotely in Turkey till waiting D visa confirmation from Italy. During 4 month I realize how no connection between departments, no clear job description. My manager was unfortunately the worst. He seemed cool person but who has no idea how to manage a team and worse how to do remotely. I left alone to figure out everything by myself. In mean time, there were constant pressure and mobing about how the financial problems are big and CEO could be replaced. Soon after investors had changed and also CEO. During this time my manager was always talking about how low should ı be not to take attention. My D- visa approved after 4 months by Italian government,I was about to get my visa from Italian embassy. so called my manager called me via teams and inform me that new management cancelled my role as management believe that there is no need for export management role. That was it! Within 10 min I lost my job my role , no detail no explanation. within 24 hour my mail account closed and within 48 hours my whole laptop access had been blocked. Neither manager nor HR responded my emails, nor calls. Finally we agreed to make a meeting after one week. Only HR attended that online meeting. The summary of that meeting was ''Sorry''. Even I had an agreement , they explained to me that they never hired me as I was working remotely via intermedia agency as there were no office or branch in Turkey. All expenses I had made to have visa ( translation, health insurance etc), my dream to move to Italy, my enthusiasm to develop new export department were just drained to the toilet just like that. This shows me that how some companies are like people, they could be bullies with no empathy. To all expats and employees in Italy or any body in such my recommendation is that please stay away from this company. Also note to Glassdoor they have a new CEO, the name here should be updated. Previous CEO has all my respect as he was the only one who called me after many months I was unemployed due to shock and stress.
