Pros
Run by engineers, so leadership understands the engineering problem space. Gives engineers the tools required to get the job done.
Cons
A more recent reliance on bloated processes to get work done. I'm not sure the work output outweighs the overhead. Possibly too much reliance on outsourcing across time zones. 24/7 work is nice, but staying in sync can be difficult.
