Pros

Near MRT station and abundant of lifts

Cons

Since the recent activity that the company did, the company culture has changed significantly. There has been a noticeable increase in turnover, declining morale, and growing uncertainty among employees. Policies around work-from-home flexibility were removed, everyone is afraid to speak up and no one dares to question the company's direction. The workplace became increasingly transactional after the new HR leadership took over, with much less focus on employee wellbeing, trust, and people development. Many long-time employees who once valued the culture no longer feel the same sense of belonging or psychological safety. What is most concerning is the lack of transparency and consistency in how performance and appraisals are handled. In some cases, appraisal outcomes appeared disconnected from actual contributions, which undermines confidence in the performance measurement process. There is also a strong sense that no one is truly safe, especially newer joiners. This creates an environment of fear rather than growth. I also do not think it is appropriate for companies to encourage current employees to leave positive reviews if they do not genuinely reflect the employee experience. Future candidates deserve honest and balanced insights to assess whether the environment is the right fit for them.

Pros

Talented colleagues who try their best despite the environment. Opportunity to gain experience in the private markets space.

Cons

The company culture strongly reflects a “profit over people” mindset. Employees often feel like expendable resources rather than valued contributors. Layoffs were handled in an abrupt and unsettling way. Employees came into work on a Friday morning as usual, only to be escorted into meeting rooms and informed they were being laid off. Leadership claimed the layoffs were not about cost cutting, yet the company appeared to be building a cheaper team in China at the same time. This contradiction damaged trust internally. The founder remained in the office until around 6pm saying employees could ask questions about the layoffs if they had any. While framed as transparency, the overall handling of the situation felt performative and insensitive given how abruptly people lost their jobs. These decisions created significant uncertainty and severely impacted morale across the company.
