Pros
The projects are well intended to support many communities. The staff (not including management) have each other’s back.
Cons
Working at ACET is challenging due to problematic workplace culture. The leadership team consistently falls short on integrity, authenticity, and transparency. Without being specific, there are no reprimands for yelling at, disrespecting, or targeting staff. The CEO allows this behavior and is extremely avoidant of reality and addressing it. This dynamic keeps people on edge and anxious.
There is a big disconnect between the company’s public “values” and “mission” and reality. Like others said, those are more superficial and a tactic to draw in business than anything.
Career advancement is largely stagnant here. Annual reviews can be pretty subjective.
I’ve not had to actively follow so many rules and procedures ever in all of my career. It’s demoralizing.
I would not recommend working here. There are better opportunities elsewhere.
