Pros
This is an adult home based services grant that I receive for my adult son with multiple disabilities. He is now 30 years old and has been receiving this grant for over 13 years. I had owned my own business and when we closed our doors 4 years ago i returned back to being my sons sole care giver. I now have a new care giver for him as I am now looking for full time work myself. This is a wonderful program designed to assist families like my self that have no other options for their child or no placement for them.
Cons
The cons of this is that there are no benefits and a specific amount is awarded on a monthly basis with no income increase. Cons also as the parent means there is absolute no break from your kiddo.
