Pros

Most people are friendly You can work on projects that are actually making a difference in society and you feel like you contribute Most people are willing to help Pays well Company makes a lot of money so job security is fine

Cons

Immature IT practices, trying to make a change is easier said than done. Everyone is happy to do it until it’s time to prioritise it and money is more important. Some decisions make you scratch your head A lot of non technical people in IT roles who say buzzwords in meetings to cover up the fact they don’t belong in IT who think writing a jira ticket description is the same thing as actually carrying out the work of a developer. Requires a lot of talking to third party people or cross organisational teams in different countries which can delay a lot of things. Sometimes they follow the bonus driven decision making which is not ideal for anyone but the persons bonus or their mate who’s going to benefit significantly from a decision made.

Pros

A friendly environment with plenty of room for career growth. Always supportive of furthering education for future opportunities.

Cons

It takes a little time to get used to a 12hr rotating shift, but you get plenty of time off in between rotation.

Pros

The pay is decent and the benefits are pretty good.

Cons

Leadership often struggles with communication and transparency. Strategic decisions are routinely made without clear input from operations or frontline employees, leading to inefficiencies and low morale. Additionally, some departments suffer from extremely toxic leadership, where micromanagement, favoritism, and dismissiveness toward feedback are common. These issues have driven away strong performers and contribute to a culture of fear and disengagement in certain groups.
