Pros

Most of the people are good. It's not a Charles Dickens novel come to life (I think).

Cons

The company was founded in the 1950s, and it seems like it still the 1950s at AAR once you have been on the scene for a short time. It's boys club. A white boys club. There are only a few women in manager or higher positions. Then they are mostly white. It is impossible to move up there unless you know or are related to someone high up. Mainly the CEO, who seems like he is itching for a hostile take over or buy out. Benefits and time off also come from the 1950s. Any change comes grudgingly. Unless it comes from the very top, and that usually comes with lay offs and / or renovations that cost in the high six figure range. Raises trickle in.

Pros

good pay and that's it.

Cons

everything. where to start - new employees are treated like garbage. no vacation days until 6 months then you get 3 days.... for an entire year (sick/vacation). useless pto. no insurance... even though you are working for AAR they use a staffing company - which is still aar to get away with this. not paid for hours worked - manipulate hours/pay weeks in order to avoid paying OT. scummy leadership, favoritism, and unless you're related to or sleeping with someone in leadership - you will get laid off.
