Pros

This is a great place to learn the ropes and really discover what it is you want to do within aviation. The company is large enough that you can move around to different divisions and experience a lot of diversity within the industry. You will meet the industry players and AAR is a great name to have on your resume.

Cons

The company fights to do business with itself. Every VP is concerned with their P&L without realizing they are making it difficult for the end customer to do business with AAR they see as one business even though it is operated separately. Management also is overly-concerned with titles and alter business decisions based on intracompany politics -even if it is not in the best interest of the company or customer. The employee is treated like an easily replaced asset and do nothing to retain their best employees. Pay is below industry average and benefits are too expensive for an entry to mid level employee.

Pros

good pay and that's it.

Cons

everything. where to start - new employees are treated like garbage. no vacation days until 6 months then you get 3 days.... for an entire year (sick/vacation). useless pto. no insurance... even though you are working for AAR they use a staffing company - which is still aar to get away with this. not paid for hours worked - manipulate hours/pay weeks in order to avoid paying OT. scummy leadership, favoritism, and unless you're related to or sleeping with someone in leadership - you will get laid off.
