Pros

Transparent Organization - The engineering leadership have good experiences, and all keep very open door policy. If you are little experienced, this place provides diverse opportunities. As you mature as a developer, you earn responsibility and respect. If you struggle, there are many highly qualified peers very willing to support you. At the end of the day, you will learn new skills, and become experienced at high performance embedded systems, and security products. Dinner is served nightly, and is a great way to talk shop or just get to know your neighbor. Contrary to other reviews, I think the life balance is pretty good. As for pay, you get out what you put in. Work hard, and you are rewarded.

Cons

- There are some pet projects where truly great developers are spending time. But this maybe a longer term pro, as they are researching and pushing boundaries of the current code base. - Mgt sets high expectations with release schedules, which are to frequent - No Beer with the rib dinner. Come on A10, you can do better.

Thank you for your comments. Yes, the demanding and aggressive release schedules keep all of the engineering team very busy. Unfortunately, our industry and the competitive nature of our business requires that we move very quickly. Saying this, we will look to ways to balance out the requirements as we continue to evolve.
