Pros

I have been working in the Accounting department for almost a year and I LOVE it! I work under a wonderful Controller. Not only is she a great and strict boss but she is also a wonderful friend. We work under a new CFO who is leading the company in the right direction. I truly enjoy my time here. We are not micro-managed; we have flexibility with work schedules and lunches. All that A1 Solar requires of it's employees is that our work is completed in a timely manner. Additionally, we work for a kid friendly company, not many companies will allow you time off to attend school functions or to bring your kids to work. A1 Solar truly ROCKS! Our IT department works hard to keep us up and running at all times. Our Regional Sales manager and our Regional Operations manager are simply awesome! We all work as a team. Our motto is "Teamwork makes the Dream Work." Additionally, they encourage us to further our education, the more we know, the more we can bring to the company. My boss has motivated me SOOO much, that I even went back to school. In all honesty, I truly believe that bad reviews are posted by disgruntled ex-employees.

Cons

I'll re-post when I have something to complain about. :)

Pros

A lot of smart and good people have been through the doors of this company. But once they see the company's true colors they usually do the right thing and move on.

Cons

The energy is negative throughout the company. Employees are overworked, over stressed and underpaid. There are no health benefits for employees although the company is very successful. Instead they spend ridiculously high salaries on new executive members that are supposed to help squeeze an extra dollar in profit. Every few months there is someone new in charge who is supposed to take the company to the next level. In many cases these people don't even have basic computer skills, let alone common sense, yet employes are supposed to follow their direction without questioning. In order to move up in this company you have to be a fake person who will say whatever pleases the executives and does not care about the common well being of the employees. While employees are working hard and keep the revenues of the company rolling in, management has meetings in which they role play and play games. This is supposed to help them develop their leadership skills. As you can see by all the negative reviews it's clearly not working.
