Pros

you can tell people you have an American work experience and put it to ur resume. you can also learn how to have a conversation with a bad person (the CEO). you can also experience being a free labor to make America great again.

Cons

Unpaid. 30 hours per week, which people don't really care. Since CEO doesn't any thing about data science, he let data science intern to do HR work. The instruction is very unclear or there is no instruction. Nobody is doing anything. Some scripts for company's website was saved in students' Github and in public. They let students do ML and can't even afford getting data, and cloud platform. All the scripts are ran in students' laptop. The CEO just know how to use ChatGPT and gaslight.

Pros

I worked as a Data Scientist at A Round Entertainment for one year and it was a highly valuable experience that significantly accelerated my professional growth. The role offered a strong balance of technical challenges and practical business impact: I learned advanced data-cleaning and feature-engineering techniques, built models that informed product decisions, and practiced translating technical results into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders. Leadership and autonomy were highlights. I was entrusted with leading projects and coordinating cross-functional workstreams, which improved my project-management skills and made me much more confident speaking up in meetings and presenting results. The internship also pushed me to become more resourceful in sourcing and preparing data independently, and to set and meet realistic milestones under time constraints. Collaboration at A Round is exceptional. I worked closely with product, engineering, design, and marketing teams — all eager to share knowledge and iterate quickly. That culture of open communication made it easy to prototype ideas, gather feedback, and ship improvements that mattered to users. Justin is a thoughtful and effective CEO who moves projects forward while genuinely caring for the team’s wellbeing and professional development. He created a supportive environment that encouraged learning, experimentation, and internal mobility — I was even able to continue with the company while seeking a full-time role. Overall, A Round Entertainment is a strong place for anyone looking to gain hands-on data science experience, practice leadership in a collaborative startup setting, and grow under supportive leadership. I’m grateful for the mentorship and opportunities I received there.

Cons

It is an intern but you can learn more on your own!

Pros

Remote, flexible hours (though mandated hour count is enforced every day requiring online status which is tracked and counted.)

Cons

Unpaid Disorganized structure. Assigments are given out to the team without any thoughts or prior meetings. Zero leadership experience in the workplace. The team are all desperate interns looking for some sort of experience CEO Justin Lee looks down upon his workforce and just uses young adults for free labor on a product that may or may not make money.
