Great potential and could be awesome for SMBs and ECs alike, it resonates well with those who are pitched to, in fact, its fantastic! But there are a lot of people that need to be fired and management needs to step up. This proposition is falling through the fingers and they bury their heads in the sand.

Political as People responsible for crafting the products are not skilled and ignorant No action to fix team problems Tribal behaviour of specific teams who are riding the company for every penny Nothing new in 2 years People in management too scared to wholeheartedly make changes Agile and scrum is an excuse for no documentation, vision or understanding Process is fine when people know what they're supposed to be doing No real data team - inexcusable in a data company Java is not the future of 9 Spokes and yet a ton of Java developers twiddling thumbs No sign of any new money coming in and burning through it like firelighters

Amazing talented staff, with tremendous enthusiasm and passion. Small company, means you can jump into other streams of work without feeling pigeon-holed into one role as you have with larger corporates. Senior leadership team really makes effort to ensure all staff are heard, and provides support where needed. In my role I was working closely with the CTO and he was just amazing as a mentor and supportive when I was overwhelmed with too many things approaching deadlines. It’s a startup, and you can be super successful if you have the right attitude to jump into other areas and learn things as you go.

Some areas were quite thin on staff, and recruitment was very challenging when the NZ borders were closed. (Covid)
